Along with writing and producing my own music and video content, I create Drum and Sound Journeys that present a gateway into altered states, hidden realms and ancestral memory.
My drum and sound journeys bring together nature soundscapes, tribal rhythms, live vocals and instrumentals combined with electroscapes, and what can only be described as some kind of psycho-spiritual folk rock performed on various international stringed instruments.
My music releases are a more recent aspect of NowTime. I haven't released any music for some years, and have deleted most of it with the view to re-inventing. Music coming very soon!
What Happens In A 'NowTime' Sound & Drum Journey
For 30 years I've utilising sound, rhythm and music to aid with my own ‘spiritual evolution’, I've witnessing first hand the incredible transformations that can occur when we're open to the power of sound and the present moment.
Though I have been in many bands etc, since 2022 I've been moving more and more in the direction of using what I've learned and developed to aid others. My journey has taught me that true positive growth happens when we (as best we can) align our mind, body, and spirit with the source of life. The still formless timelessness found at the primordial heart of existence is the essence of being, and simultaneously the source of our greatest power.
Accessing the now more fully is an on going journey of inner expansion, each step making healing from a chaotic world a much smoother and rewarding ride.
A voyage of spiritual transmutation.
Firstly its important to mention that writing or speaking about what its like to truly experience the present moment in its primordial state is actually a paradox. While a description of it and how to reach it can be necessary to be aware of it, true NowTime is beyond words and description. Its about feeling and connecting with the wider expanse of existence and being aware that we ourselves are it and the inherent joy that experiencing that can bring. I'm not suggesting we live beyond words and thought 24/7. The experience of the primordial now is a place we can go to recharge and remember who and what we are at our core, bringing back vital energy and perspectives that can transform our lives and the world around us.
Whether your curious about how sound, rhythm and music can transport us into altered states that can enrich our consciousness and hence our quality of life, or your more experienced in this area, my aim is to aid as many people as possible in discovering and/or maintaining the perspective that we ourselves are the consciousness and infinite expanse that is the eternal now. Not just to think and say it, but to actually experience that we are already it, and always have been.
My experience has shown me that the present moment is consciousness itself, the origin of knowledge and wisdom, the essence of living, the source of life, and simultaneous gateway, divine destination and experience of a grand spiralling creation. In aiding people to access this perspective, (EVEN FOR JUST A MOMENT 😉) it also aids me in maintaining my own connection, focus and conscious expansion.
My music and events are created to guide us into conscious states that align with the primordial foundations of our day to day lives. Places familiar yet unknown, alien, yet feel like home ✨
This is still a fairly new project, and more content will arrive as syncronicity deems it.
